Global Voices: A review of 2007, and big plans for 2008
In the past days, Global Voices authors and editors have highlighted some of the top stories in the blogospheres of their different regions. Now, Co-Managing Editor Solana Larsen takes a site-wide look at some of the most-read Global Voices posts in 2007 as well as what we can look forward to in 2008.
Argentina: 20 years of the El Mate free movie and animation school
For 20 years now the award-winning Escuela de Cine el Mate has been teaching young teenagers and children on the outskirts of Buenos Aires to create animations and documentary videos. They have already uploaded more than 100 of their videos to the internet, some of which are reviewed here by Video Editor Juliana Rincón.
